The Vento system shipyards, also known as the Vento shipyards, were ancient shipyards that were located within the Core Worlds' Vento system and lay on the super-hyperroute known as the Perlemian Trade Route. The shipyards were used by the Galactic Republic during the Great Sith War—a conflict waged by the forces of the Sith sect against the Republic—and came under a Sith attack during their first offensive wave. During the final stages of the war, the Human Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma attempted to force a Republic military officer to transmit orders to the Republic fleet instructing all the fleet's starships to arrive at the coordinates of the Vento system shipyards—an action that would cause the destruction of many Republic vessels.

As I walk the long walk along the endless path from Casilhas to Boca Do Vento, this is one of the spots that I came across for fine dining overlooking the Tagus River. Even though the location was quite intriguing and the scenery was beautiful, I decided that it wasn't time for lunch yet. And I kept walking. And I'm glad I did. The following set of images are all about a side trip that I took while visiting Lisbon. It all started with waking up one morning and having a craving for a "good" fresh fish dinner. Someone had recommended a ferry ride across the Tagus River to Casilhas, with a short walk from the ferry terminal to the end of the path along the shore. And that's exactly what I did. The story doesn't end here. Watch out for my images over the coming few weeks to see how things turned out. You will not be disappointed. I definitely wasn't. Why would a walk that normally takes the average person about 15 minutes to get to the restaurant at the end of the point took me almost 4 hours? All you have to do is examine these few images to find out. The path was essentially comprised of one warehouse after the other, all structurally attached to each other, and every single inch of every single facade wall was decorated with amazing graffiti works. I just had to stop and examine every piece of art. I have to say - every single one was more amazing than the next. But the story does not end there. Keep watching for the grand prize of them all.
