Description: The Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad (reporting mark DRGW), often shortened to Rio Grande, D&RG or D&RGW, formerly the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, was an American Class I railroad company. The railroad started as a 3 ft (914 mm) narrow-gauge line running south from Denver, Colorado, in 1870. It served mainly as a transcontinental bridge line between Denver, and Salt Lake City, Utah. Description: Before it was I-2, it was 83. And some of us were raised off it. Raised Off 83 is a vintage-inspired tribute to Expressway 83 and the Rio Grande Valley — the road connecting generations of memories across South Texas. From Mission and McAllen to Pharr, San Juan, Donna, Weslaco, Mercedes and beyond, 83 wasn't just how you got somewhere. It was part of growing up in the Valley. The weathered highway badge, faded palms, and old-school colors give this design the look of something that's been around almost as long as the memories. For the ones who stayed. The ones who left. And the ones who still call the 956 home. Raised Off 83. If you know, you know.
