Other names for the symbol include the Byzantine cross, Russian cross, and Slavonic or Suppedaneum cross.

This icon, also known as "Not Made by Hands" or "The Mandylion", is one of the most important icons in the Orthodox Church. This icon is entitled "Christos Acheiropoietos" (made without hands) and comes from the Novgorod School (around 1100).
Description: Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin was a Russian mystic and self-proclaimed holy man who befriended the family of Tsar Nicholas II, the last monarch of Russia, and gained considerable influence in late imperial Russia. I have made a portrait of him in my style, adding my signature geometrical shapes to give the design some symmetry and also adding a Russian orthodox cross into the design.
