Description: Taking cues from other NYC roadhouse-style bars, this Financial District saloon opened its doors in 2009 and made its bartenders the main event. The Horse's all-female cast of booze slingers was known for entertaining feats including bar-top dancing, fire-blowing, and hula-hooping, all while serving cheap drinks. The Iron Horse had a full menu that included your typical bar fare, and if you went on a Sunday, burgers and hot dogs were on the house when you bought a drink.
Description: The Pterodactyl Club opened in the mid-'80s in Charlotte, North Carolina as an alternative dance hall with a DJ spinning all the greatest non-mainstream music. Housed in an old steakhouse with 40 year old carpet on Freedom Drive, Pterodactyl Club had one of the smallest bars of any club, which made getting a drink a challenge. Within the first year, The Pterodactyl began featuring live bands and quickly became the go to spot to catch the coolest bands. From punk and hardcore to goth and metal and everything in between, this Charlotte nightspot hosted countless big name acts before they made it big.

Description: The old building on Chinden Boulevard was relocated to Garden City, Idaho, from New Plymouth in 1949, and The Ranch Club opened its doors the following year. It was the only bar in town with slot machines, that is, until gambling was banned in Idaho in 1953. A few years after that, the owner commissioned a giant palomino with a cowboy and lasso to stand atop the bar's sign. At some point, the cowboy was ripped off in a storm, and eventually, the horse was replaced as people kept trying to climb up and sit on the saddle. The new palomino has stood strong ever since and has remained a landmark of the rowdy cowboy bar, even during the years spent as a gay bar.
Description: It was at the end of 1957 when Seattle finally got its own dedicated jazz club when Pete's Poop Deck opened their doors. Having taken up residence in a former tavern in Pioneer Square on what was then known as Skid Road – named for the greased logs that were laid to shoot timber off First Hill to Seattle’s waterfront mills – Pete's Poop Deck was the place to be for enthusiasts of modern jazz. This low-fi establishment with its dim lighting and apple crate seating quickly grew in popularity and was THE place to take in some jazz music. From local musicians to national touring acts, Pete's Poop Deck was open nightly and promised "carefully calculated confusion," something they delivered on throughout the '60s.

It is located just off the Eastern Express Highway in District 17. It is run by an unnamed bartender. After escaping from the military hospital a second time, Tetsuo arrives here to ask the barkeeper for drugs. The barkeeper light-heartedly points out that something is strange about him, but shrugs it off while mentioning that the drugs are costly. Shortly after, Kaisuke and Yamagata walk in to find the bar destroyed and the barkeeper dead, and Yamagata is killed by the unstable Tetsuo during a confrontation.

Description: The Whistlin’ Wolf Club is a fictional 1940s nightclub owned and operated by Slick Joseph “Wolfie” McWolf, better known simply as Slick McWolf. A familiar face from the theatrical shorts of the Golden Age of American Animation, McWolf appeared in a variety of roles, sometimes as one of Droopy’s chief adversaries and other times as his unlikely friend. Whatever the role, one thing remained constant: Wolfie’s famously uncontrollable reactions. Whether spotting an attractive dame, witnessing something unbelievable, or simply being caught off guard, his eyes had a habit of practically launching from their sockets. That wild, exaggerated response became one of the era’s most memorable cartoon gags.
Description: Moby Dick's (often called Moby's) was a legendary and infamous dive bar on Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. Operating from 1971 to 1988, it was a gritty staple of the historic Block E district known for its neon blue whale sign, urban legends, and colorful, rough-around-the-edges atmosphere.
