Description: CBGB was a New York City music club opened in 1973 by Hilly Kristal in the East Village in Manhattan, New York City. The club was previously a biker bar and before that was a dive bar.[2] The letters CBGB were for Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Kristal's original vision for the club. But CBGB soon emerged as a famed and iconic venue for punk rock and new wave bands, including the Ramones, Dead Boys, Television, Patti Smith Group, Blondie, Madonna and Talking Heads.
Description: Taking cues from other NYC roadhouse-style bars, this Financial District saloon opened its doors in 2009 and made its bartenders the main event. The Horse's all-female cast of booze slingers was known for entertaining feats including bar-top dancing, fire-blowing, and hula-hooping, all while serving cheap drinks. The Iron Horse had a full menu that included your typical bar fare, and if you went on a Sunday, burgers and hot dogs were on the house when you bought a drink.

Description: The Pterodactyl Club opened in the mid-'80s in Charlotte, North Carolina as an alternative dance hall with a DJ spinning all the greatest non-mainstream music. Description: The old building on Chinden Boulevard was relocated to Garden City, Idaho, from New Plymouth in 1949, and The Ranch Club opened its doors the following year. It was the only bar in town with slot machines, that is, until gambling was banned in Idaho in 1953. A few years after that, the owner commissioned a giant palomino with a cowboy and lasso to stand atop the bar's sign. At some point, the cowboy was ripped off in a storm, and eventually, the horse was replaced as people kept trying to climb up and sit on the saddle. The new palomino has stood strong ever since and has remained a landmark of the rowdy cowboy bar, even during the years spent as a gay bar.
Description: It was at the end of 1957 when Seattle finally got its own dedicated jazz club when Pete's Poop Deck opened their doors. Having taken up residence in a former tavern in Pioneer Square on what was then known as Skid Road – named for the greased logs that were laid to shoot timber off First Hill to Seattle’s waterfront mills – Pete's Poop Deck was the place to be for enthusiasts of modern jazz. This low-fi establishment with its dim lighting and apple crate seating quickly grew in popularity and was THE place to take in some jazz music. From local musicians to national touring acts, Pete's Poop Deck was open nightly and promised "carefully calculated confusion," something they delivered on throughout the '60s.

Description: In the beginning, Yamagata finds Shotaro Kaneda at Harukiya. Harukiya is a seedy, rundown bar. It is a frequent hangout of The Capsules. It is located just off the Eastern Express Highway in District 17. It is run by an unnamed bartender. After escaping from the military hospital a second time, Tetsuo arrives here to ask the barkeeper for drugs. The barkeeper light-heartedly points out that something is strange about him, but shrugs it off while mentioning that the drugs are costly. Shortly after, Kaisuke and Yamagata walk in to find the bar destroyed and the barkeeper dead, and Yamagata is killed by the unstable Tetsuo during a confrontation.
