Oliver Tractor Shorts
Description: The Cleveland Tractor Company, also known as Cletrac, was a manufacturer of crawler tractors for both civilian and military use, particularly popular during World War II. The company was founded as the Cleveland Motor Plow Co., later renamed Cleveland Tractor Co., by Rollin H. White, co-founder of the White Motor Company. They were known for their heavy-duty Cletrac crawler tractors, which were used for various applications, including farm work, public works projects, and military operations. In 1944, Cleveland Tractor Company was purchased by the Oliver Farm Equipment Company, which later changed its name to the Oliver Corporation. In 1962, White Motor Corp. purchased Oliver and moved the operation to Charles City, Iowa.
