Description: Super Stock & Drag Illustrated was founded by John "Monk" Reynolds, publisher of Eastern Drag News and owner of Pennsylvania's US30 drag strip. The first issue was November 1964 and the magazine published continuously until June 1996 when it was re-titled 'Drag Racing' and only made it a few more years until a final issue in March 1999. The magazine was a thoughtful mix of drag racing coverage, tech articles, and street machines, which gave it pretty diverse appeal to gear heads of all sorts.

Built in limited numbers specifically for Super Stock competition, these lightweight B-body machines were powered by the legendary 426 Hemi V8, officially rated at 425 horsepower but widely acknowledged to produce much, much more. Description: Bill Casler owned Casler Tire Service in Ontario, California where he was a pioneer in creating street legal racing tires by way of custom recaps. These tires would later become known as cheater slicks or more precisely, Casler Cheater Slicks. His signature molds would go on to be THE tires to run in the popular Super Stock racing circuits as well as with hardcore hot rodders and street racers. This design is an homage to Casler's original low-fi logo and a perfect throwback for any motorsports aficionado that knows their stuff. Race on!
Description: Don Edmunds was an American racecar driver who had his first start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1957. He won the 1957 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year after finishing nineteenth, though Edmunds' Indy career ended with a serious practice accident at the Speedway the following year. In 1963, he founded Autoresearch in Anaheim, California, which specialized in building midget cars and sprint cars. Edmunds created the blueprints and did most of the fabrication work on the original Bill Thomas Cheetah prototype sports car racer. His chassis won several National Midget Championships in the late '60s and early '70s. Additionally, Edmunds was a prolific constructor of Formula Super Vee cars well into the '80s.

Description: "Dandy" Dick Landy was a master showman and a major pioneer in Super Stock, Funny Car, and Pro Stock drag racing. He was known for his innovative race cars, wild wheel stands, and his signature look of pressed white pants and jacket and long cigar clenched between his teeth. Automotive Research was Landy's first engine-building and tuning shop, opened in Sherman Oaks, California, in the early 1960s. Later, he would change the name to Dick Landy Industries and move to nearby Northridge. The business, which also employed his brother who acted as crew chief and engine builder, would continue until Landy's death in 2007.
