Threw It All Away Shorts
Description: Washing and drying garments is a mechanical process, but the final stage of folding and storing creates an insurmountable domestic roadblock. Once clean clothes emerge warm from the dryer, they migrate into a temporary laundry basket or onto a designated bedroom chair, where they remain for nearly a week. Reaching into the clean pile each morning effectively replaces the need for closet hangers or dresser drawers. The humor exposes the psychological gap between machine-assisted chores and the manual labor of putting things away. It hilariously validates the clean basket as permanent household furniture, poking fun at our stubborn determination to delay storing textiles until the next washing cycle arrives and restarts the weekly routine.
