Description: In this captivating French advertising image from the early 1900s, we are presented with a moment of pure poetry. A Pierrot, the characteristic character of French commedia dell'arte, gazes romantically at the moon while seated on his bicycle. The scene unfolds at night, with the restless sea looming in the background under a starry sky. The Pierrot, with his pale face and white costume, appears deeply contemplative, as if reflecting on the wonders of the world. The bicycle, a symbol of freedom and adventure, adds a touch of movement and dynamism to the scene, while the silvery light of the moon creates a magical and surreal atmosphere.
