Description: A2 Oil on Canvas This painting may be the longest I've worked on any piece. Due to time restraints, other projects and using oil paints this canvas was started in February 2019 and has taken me nearly 3 years to finally complete. At the time, my plan was to produce a series of these still life paintings pairing up alcohol bottles with their appropriate glassware and themes, but so far I've only managed to paint the two, although I must say I'm happy with the two whisky paintings I've done.
Description: Sometimes a person makes a decision so questionable that the possible response afterward is to stand there in complete silence and reconsider every life choice that led to it. In a moment of pure instinct, an attempt was made to stop something from falling using a completely inappropriate body part, as if suddenly possessing the skills of a professional soccer player. Unfortunately, reality had other plans. What followed was a brief moment of chaos, a generous amount of regret, and the immediate realization that some instincts should probably be ignored. It was one of those situations where everything happens far too quickly, yet somehow the embarrassment lasts forever. This is the lesson learned: not every falling object needs to be saved.
