Description: Back in 1979, the Disco Sucks movement was hitting a fever pitch as disco music was seemingly everywhere. Rock n’ rollers were sick of it and ultimately disco paid the price as its popularity began to wane pretty rapidly heading into the '80s. While disco may have left the airwaves and been replaced with all kinds of new music that also sucks, it’s safe to say that disco still sucks and will forever suck.

Description: Don Kirshner's Rock Concert was an American television music variety show that ran during the 1970s and early '80s, created and produced by Don Kirshner and syndicated to television stations. It premiered on September 27, 1973, and its last episode was in 1981. Kirshner had been executive producer and creative consultant on the 'In Concert' series which debuted with two shows in November and December 1972, in the 11:30 p.m. time slot, and became a bi-weekly series in January 1973. In September 1973, Kirshner left In Concert to launch his own syndicated "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert." It premiered on September 27, 1973, and The program featured many of the popular performers of the day during its run and other notable guests.

Description: The Great Grape Ape Show was an American animated television series that ran from September 6 to December 13, 1975, for 16 episodes. The title character is The Great Grape Ape, who is a 40-foot-tall purple gorilla with the mind of a child. His catch phrase is saying his name twice ("Grape Ape, Grape Ape") after anything anyone says, usually as a form of agreement or acknowledgement of what was said. He travels the countryside with his canine pal Beegle Beagle, whom he calls "Beegly Beagly." Grape Ape and Beegle Beagle usually ride around in a small yellow van driven by Beegle Beagle with Grape Ape sitting on the roof. A recurring bit would be for him to "rev up" the tiny vehicle like a child with a friction toy, then hop aboard.
