Description: A mainstay in the Murray's range since the mid noughties, Murray's signature pale ale has changed a lot over the years. It used to be called the Nirvana Pale Ale but at some point towards the turn of the first decade the pursuit of Nirvana turned to rage and it was renamed Angry Man Pale Ale and had its recipe tweaked. However, a little extra angst certainly didn't do the beer any harm as it's gone on to be the brewery's flagship ale, available in all parts of the country, now in a tinnie that displays a boxing match between a man and a kangaroo.

Description: The Pilsener Brewing Co., once located at the southwest corner of Clark Ave. and W. 65th St. in Cleveland, was established by Bohemian brewer Wenzel Medlin in 1892 and was incorporated the following year. The corner site of the Pilsener Brewing Co. was once known as Pilsener Square. The name Pilsener comes from the Czech city of Pilsen, where the light Bohemian lager beer was first made. In 1917 Pilsener produced 4 different brews: P.O.C. (which stood for "Pilsner of Cleveland"), Gold Top, Extra Pilsener Beer, and Pilsener Dark Lager; consumers received coupons for the return of empty bottles and exchanged them for premiums in a Pilsener catalog. Brewery operations were interrupted by prohibition, but bottling resumed on 2 May 1933.

Description: Auto City Brewing Co. opened in 1933 and closed in 1942. This brewery was active during Prohibition which makes it an oddity. Some breweries were able to stay in business by producing "near-beer" which was very low alcohol, and some switched over to bottling sodas or other beverages.

Description: The Pearl Brewing Company (also known as the Pearl Brewery or just Pearl) was an American brewery, established in 1883 in Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. In 1985, Pearl's parent company purchased the Pabst Brewing Company and assumed the Pabst name. In 1999, the Pabst Brewing Company began transferring its production to Miller Brewing, on a contract basis, and closing all of its breweries. Pearl beer is still in production at Miller's Fort Worth, Texas, facility, but the Pearl Brewery in San Antonio was closed in 2001. Since then, the former brewery was purchased by Silver Ventures, Inc., which has made the property the crown jewel in revitalization efforts of southern Midtown and northern Downtown San Antonio.
Description: Founded by Bavarian immigrant **Louis Schoen** (1876–1965), *Schoen's Old Lager* was a testament to Old World brewing craftsmanship. Arriving in the U.S. in 1892, Schoen became a brewmaster at **Heileman Brewing**, where he insisted on aging his lager for **nine weeks**—a meticulous process that ensured unparalleled quality but clashed with post-Prohibition demands for rapid production. When Heileman refused to wait, Schoen left in 1933 and co-founded **Wausau Brewing Company** in Wisconsin, reviving his signature *Louis Schoen's Old Lager* with the same uncompromising standards. By the 1960s, however, Schoen’s legacy had faded. After his death in 1965, the beer bearing his name abandoned the nine-week aging tradition, sacrificing quality
