Description: The Glenn of Imaal Terrier, otherwise known as the Wicklow Terrier, is a well-rounded and hardworking little dog originating in Ireland. It is believed that the Glen of Imaal descends from a combination of local Irish common terriers and the more low-slung Hessian hound dogs that moved into the area with their owners during the reign of Elizabeth I. Cute and very cunning, the Glens were used to protect their homes from rats, foxes, badgers and other farm vermin.
Description: The Bichon Frise is a French breed. The name literally means "curly haired dog" and boy is it one! In addition to being cute and lovable, Bichons have become popular family pets because of their low-shed coat which reduces the amount of dander that can cause allergies. This coat has drawbacks, however. Because it doesn't shed as easily, it needs regular grooming to keep that fluffy white texture.
