Description: I carved this block after moving to Tavistock over winter, I had learning about the tinners rabbits legend from various Dartmoor residents and had to find out more. This ancient symbol was a secret tag used by tinners along the silk roads and ancient trading roots. It can be found in various churches in Devon and as far a field as an ancient smugglers cave in China Dartmoor has many Hare legend's from witches transforming into them on the moors to the church adopting the emblem and the Druids linking them to the moon .
