Description: Caldor was a discount department store chain founded in 1951 by husband and wife Carl and Dorothy Bennett. Referred to by many as the Bloomingdale's of discounting, Caldor grew from a second story "Walk-Up-&-Save" operation in Port Chester, NY into a regional retailing giant.
Description: Relive the glory days of the real king of Akron Ohio...Rolling Acres Mall. Rolling Acres mall opened in Akron, Ohio with Sears and 21 stores on August 6, 1975. JCPenney opened a year later as a second anchor. A new wing was added in 1977, including a third anchor store, Montgomery Ward. Further expansion in 1978 added a new two-story wing called the Promenade, which included a food court called “Prom-N-Eat” (later renamed “Picnic Place”) and local chain O’Neil’s as a fourth anchor. The mall was foreclosed in June 2016. As of October 2016, demolition of the mall had begun with full demolition on the property expected to be complete by October 2017.

Description: The Lane Drug Company of Ohio (also referred to as "Lane’s Discount Drugs", or "Lane's), was a discount drugstore chain in the United States that was originally based in Toledo, Ohio. On 10 April 1989, the chain was acquired by Rite Aid Corporation of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and operated as a division of Rite Aid until late 2024, when Rite Aid closed all Ohio locations after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October, 2023.
Description: One Way Records was an independent record label based in Albany, New York that specialized in budget reissues of classic rock albums. In the 1990s, it gained business pressing reissues of those records that had "fallen through the cracks" in the transition in the music industry from vinyl to compact discs. Other labels that similarly filled this reissue niche were Collector's Pipeline, Rhino Records and Razor & Tie.
Description: Remembering Gimbels Department Store. Founded in Indiana and then relocating to Milwaukee, Gimbels eventually opened stores in Philadelphia and New York. With its arrival in New York, Gimbels soon became the primary rival to the leading NY retailer, Macy's. Despite its limited presence, Gimbels was well-known nationwide. Gimbels gained publicity from the 1947 film Miracle on 34th Street, the 1967 film Fitzwilly, and was frequently mentioned as a shopping destination of Lucy Ricardo and Ethel Mertz on the hit 1950s TV series I Love Lucy. And of course it is where Will Ferrell works in Elf.
