Gts Monaro Socks
Description: The HQ model replaced the HG Holden. It was the first ground-up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all-new body, chassis, and suspension. 'The HQ model Monaro's new coupé design had a much larger rear window and a squarer rear quarter window; it was somehow seen as not as sporty looking compared to the earlier HK-HT-HG series, but is often now considered one of the best looking body designs to come from an Australian manufacturer.' Description: Released near the end of 1977, the HZ Holden range was the last of the “H’ models dating back to the 1965 HD Holden. Now with RTS - ‘Radial Tuned Suspension’ - was the best handling of all of them. The ‘GTS’ variant was the best of the HZ model. The last car named a Monaro was the previous model - HX Monaro GTS. But the HZ was a better handler and still with the gutsy 5.0 litre 308 V8. Some call it a Monaro, but Holden never badged it as such. With the Commodore name coming on the next generation of cars launching in 1979, the HZ Holden days were short.
