Description: The Sandown Clown was a strange being encountered by two young children vacationing at Lake Common, Sandown, Isle of Wight (UK) in May of 1973. Following a sound like an ambulance siren, the children wandered across a footbridge over a stream, and met a curious, unidentifiable being that has been described as "a cross between a clown, a robot, and an alien". It was a shy, but friendly being, and spoke kindly to the children for almost half an hour before they returned to their parents. It seemingly vanished after the encounter, and has never been seen again.

Description: Play School is a British children's television series produced by the BBC which ran from 21 April 1964 until 11 March 1988, with repeats shown until 10 February 2002 on BBC (repeats aired on CBeebies until 27 September 2004). It was created by Joy Whitby and was aimed at preschool children. Each programme followed a broad theme and consisted of songs, stories and activities with presenters in the studio, along with a short film introduced through either the square, round or arched window in the set.
Description: Silver Apples is an American electronic rock group from New York, active between 1967 and 1970, before reforming in the mid-1990s. It was composed of Simeon (born Simeon Oliver Coxe III), who performs on a primitive synthesizer of his own devising; and, until his death in 2005, drummer Danny Taylor.
