Jukebox Socks
Description: The girls arrive at the lake party in a VW bus as the men finish their sproinging practice for the fun to come. Shayne Wallace (AKA Shani Wallis) sings about men... tall ones, small ones, etc... and blesses them all. This song probably originated with British personnel in India in 1880 but really became popular in WWII. The song is well done by Shani (or is it Shayne?) even though the video includes the "look what I caught fishing" bikini gag. The scopitone ends with the women leaving in their VW bus. From an original "table tent" design. Scopitone S-1028. Scopitones are music films made for a video jukebox in the 1960s. There were over 70 American ones produced and hundreds of European ones, featuring well-known artists of the time.
Description: January Jones sings That Old Gang of Mine. Wow. Really? You know we can't go on a trip to the cemetery just to dig up your old friends. She sings about giving up her furs, diamonds and pearls to see that old gang one more time but says nothing about bikinis. BIKINIS, bikinis, bikinis! From an original "table tent" design. Scopitone S-1015. Scopitones are music films made for a video jukebox in the 1960s. There were over 70 American ones produced and hundreds of European ones, featuring well-known artists of the time.
