Description: Years ago, I had a partner who used to always take me to his favourite cafe in Richmond Hill, called Covernotes. He would always buy a London Fog drink, and a scone. Simple things made him so happy. He was a clever fox. I made this piece inspired by him, and the life he lived.
Description: Classic UK teapot, the Brown Betty, is cut from a street map of London from 1860. The original teapot came from a red clay that was discovered in the Stoke-on-Trent area of Britain, in 1695. This clay resulted in a ceramic which seemed to retain heat better and so found use as the material for the teapot as early as the seventeenth century.
