A hoop pine stands silhouetted, the progeny of the original hoop pines of Brisbane thats lineage has grown here in unbroken succession for over 200 million years. A touch of the wild in a modern day city with the moon reminding us of the unending wildness of the cosmos beyond. Reminding us of how young our species is and how much we have transformed the wild in such a short space of time yet also how brief our dominance on earth may be if we continue to undermine the environment that supports us.
