Description: The Toledo Blades and Hornets were the International Hockey League franchise of Toledo, Ohio from 1963 to 1974. The first four years (1959-1963) of the franchise was in Omaha, NE as the Omaha Knights. After moving to Toledo for the 1963-64 season, they were renamed the Blades. The team name was changed to Hornets in 1970. The franchise left Toledo after the 1973–74 season for Lansing, MI, where they became the Lansing Lancers.
Description: In the early 1980s, entertainment restaurants blossomed after the Chuck E. Cheese chain defined the genre. Their immediate success inspired a gaggle of imitators, all with kid-friendly mixes of pizza, video games, and animatronic characters who sang and danced as parents ate pizza and kids ran around like maniacs. Major Magic's All Star Pizza Revue was one such imitator which opened in 1983 in the Toledo, Ohio suburb of Sylvania and while most other chains in this space died off by the mid '90s, Major Magic marched along all the way until 2010 before finally retiring from service.
Description: The Cleveland Spiders were an American professional baseball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The team competed at the major league level from 1887 to 1899, first for two seasons as a member of the now-defunct American Association (AA), followed by eleven seasons in the National League (NL). Early names for the team included the Forest Citys and Blues. The name Spiders itself emerged early in the team's inaugural NL season of 1889, owing to new black-and-gray uniforms and the skinny, long-limbed look of many players (thereby evoking the spider arachnid). National League Park served as the team's home for its first four seasons until the opening of League Park in 1891.
