Description: The San Diego Mariners were an ice hockey team based in San Diego that played in the World Hockey Association. They played from 1974 to 1977. Their home ice was San Diego Sports Arena. Previous to being in San Diego, the team was known as the New York Raiders, New York Golden Blades, and Jersey Knights.

Description: San Diego Conquistadors were the first and only expansion team in the American Basketball Association, playing from 1972 to 1975. They were also called the "Q's. The San Diego Conquistadors (known as the San Diego Sails in their final, partial season), played an incomplete season only, beginning the 1975–1976 season but folding after only 11 games with 3 wins and 8 losses.
