Tezcatlipoca Socks
Description: This design is inspired by an illustration from the Codex Borbonicus, which depicts Tepeyollotl—the jaguar figure on the left—and Quetzalcoatl on the right. Tepeyollotl is a jaguar manifestation associated with Tezcatlipoca, representing the power of the mountains and the echoing heart of the earth, while Quetzalcoatl symbolizes wisdom, wind, and creation. The artwork reinterprets these two deities in a detailed embroidered-style design, giving the piece the appearance of a traditional stitched patch while preserving the symbolic imagery of the original codex. The result blends ancient Mesoamerican mythology with a modern textile-inspired aesthetic.
