Description: Steve Wynn, purchased the future land of the Mirage in 1986. A hotel-casino, the Castaways, occupied a portion of the property and was demolished to make way for the Mirage. The Mirage was the first megaresort to open on the Las Vegas Strip, and its success prompted a building boom in the 1990s for other large resorts along the Strip. The Mirage closed on July 17, 2024, and is expected to reopen under its new name in late 2027.

Description: Mirage has always loved being the center of attention. As the youngest of four brothers, he mastered the art of joking around just to stand out. But beneath the humor, there was one thing he took seriously: Holo-Pilot technology. Introduced to illusion tech by his engineer mother, Mirage became obsessed, studying and refining it whenever he could. When his brothers went missing during the Outlands’ Civil War, Mirage stayed by his mother’s side. Together, they continued developing holo devices, and their shared work strengthened their bond. To support them, Mirage worked as a bartender, where he constantly heard stories about the Apex Games—tales of fame, fortune, and glory. He wanted in, but he couldn’t risk leaving his mother alone.
