Description: An illustration based on the legend of the Lady of the Lake for the Encounters with the Imaginary Book 3. This secondary illustration was also accompanied by a short story. Excerpt: Some come with demands; thinking themselves worthy. Others bear gifts; their lecherous smiles promising unwanted offerings. She greets them all, emerging from her lake to listen to their hearts rather than their words. Most, she invites deeper. The ripples of their boats lap silently against the shore as they are engulfed by mist.
Description: The stretch of Rowena Avenue in Silver Lake (it continues into Los Feliz) is where I live and was formerly the home of my gentlemen's shop, Brightwell. Also included in this map are the streets of Ivanhoe (a district of Silver Lake) which are named after the Scottish novel of the same name. I made this map around 2014, I think.
