"Make Love, Not War" became a rallying phrase of the anti-establishment peace movement much to the chagrin of the older generation. Upon seeing young protestors take the slogan to the streets of California, Ronald Reagan famously remarked: "Those guys look like they can't make either of both." Ouch.
