Description: Logo for the defunct Western Pacific Railroad was a Class I railroad in the United States. It was formed in 1903 as an attempt to break the near-monopoly the Southern Pacific Railroad had on rail service into northern California. WP's Feather River Route directly competed with SP's portion of the Overland Route for rail traffic between Salt Lake City/Ogden, Utah, and Oakland, California, for nearly 80 years. In 1982, the Western Pacific was acquired by the Union Pacific Corporation and it was soon merged into their Union Pacific Railroad. The Western Pacific was one of the original operators of the California Zephyr.

Known as the "Queen of Tejano Music", she is known for her contributions to popular music and fashion, which made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the late 20th century. She ranks among the most influential Latin artists of all time and is credited for catapulting the Tejano genre into the mainstream market.
Description: This is a design I made in 2014 of the Bellingham Washington museum. I was homesick for the PNW and decided to paint this Bellingham landmark into a traditional tattoo. Almost 10 years later I’ve cleaned it up and turned it into a digital design for all my Pacific Northwest friends to enjoy.
Description: The Patent Machinery Company was established by R. C. Frankie in 1905 on 1st Ave. S. in Seattle, Washington. As the company increasingly focused their work on gearing and gear assemblies, the company was renamed Western Gear Works in 1914, and relocated to a larger facility in 1916, where they remained until 1962 when they built a new waterfront factory complex in Everett. From the world's largest doors at the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center and the revolving restaurant at the Space Needle, to the radio telescopes at the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex and a series of highly specialized vehicles for the U.S. military, Western Gear became known for making the impossible possible.

Huckleberries are a prized wild berry found in the mountainous regions of western Montana & the Inland Northwest. In late July and early August, Montanans head to the mountains to their secret spot to harvest these tasty purple berries. Idaho and Montana huckleberries are great in muffins, pancakes, pies, jams, milkshakes, and much more. Description: Native Americans were the first inhabitants of Winthrop, living along the banks of the Methow, Twisp, and Chewuch rivers. The first white men to visit the valley were trappers in the 19th century. In the spring of 1868, placer gold was discovered and the lure of gold brought the first permanent white settlers, three of whom were James Ramsey, Ben Pearrygin, and Guy Waring. Waring stopped at the forks of the Chewuch and Methow rivers in 1891. His family settled into the "Castle" (now the Shafer Museum). Although Waring is the acclaimed founding father, the town is named after Theodore Winthrop, an adventure traveler, and gifted 19th-century author. The town was rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1893 and was officially incorporated in 1924.
