Description: Here's my new design, the kanji means Yasuke. Do you know the story behind? He is the first black samurai in Japan! I myself am a black artist who loves Japanese and samurai culture, so Yasuke is the perfect mix of both and one of my heros. I hope you'll like my new artwork! Sincerely, Geek me that

This third portrait in the series captures him at full force: crimson kimono blazing, gold catching the light, locs in motion, chin lifted toward something the world said he couldn’t reach. The red and black of the Sengoku era burns behind him. Katana at his back. Eyes skyward. Original figurative art rendered in high-contrast ink and bold color — part ukiyo-e energy, part protest poster.
