I find the corvids, quite striking, I don't know why they seem to get such bad press and deemed as bad omens just because of their all black colour... the jackdaws have beautiful blue eyes and the ravens very stunningly sharp sleek looking beaks... The Celtic peoples strongly associated corvids with war, death and the battlefield - due to their scavenging on a carrion diet - but without them we would be fighting more environmental battles - as they help to keep our farmlands and woodland free of disease and strengthen the gene pool by weeding out weak prey items.
