Description: The Alterra Corporation, or simply Alterra, is a Trans-Gov that funded the Aurora's mission to construct a phasegate in the Ariadne Arm. It also appears to be the manufacturer of many machines and tools in-game, as its logo is on many of them. Alterra is heavily involved in the arms trade and made substantial amounts of money supplying weaponry to all warring factions during the period known as the Expansion. Their threats to cut off these supplies are said to have been a turning point in the conflict. Today, they are the top supplier to the Trans-System Federation.
Description: The Aurora was a brand-new Alterra Long-Range Capital Ship (and possibly the first of its class) sent to the Ariadne Arm by the Alterra Corporation to build a phasegate. Its auxiliary mission, unknown to most of the crew, was an agreement made with the Mongolian Independent States to search for and possibly rescue the survivors of the Degasi crew. It was thought that the ship's advanced scanning suite, superior to any ship that had previously made a search effort, would have better luck in finding the crew, or finally confirm whatever fate had befallen them.
Description: The Inactive Lava Zone is a cavernous biome located 900 meters below the surface. It is the second deepest biome and the penultimate area in Subnautica. The Inactive Lava Zone is characterized by large, arching structures and walls of hardened lava with occasional steaming lava falls. It is composed of two distinct areas and can be found at 900 to 1300 meters down, well below the limit of a Seamoth (even when equipped with a Seamoth Depth Module MK3) - making an upgraded Cyclops and Prawn Suit the only vehicles to be able to navigate through it.
Description: The Sea Treader's Path is an extended biome intersecting the Grand Reef, Sparse Reef, Dunes and the Blood Kelp Trench. It is located to the southwest of Lifepod 5. It is the migration path of the Sea Treader Leviathan. The Sea Treader's Path biome is largely made up of a massive hill with an expansive tunnel running through it. The top of the mound is considerably sandy and sparse in life, though clusters of an unknown coral species can be found along its ridges.

Description: Delta Island is a small above sea level biome in Subnautica: Below Zero, and the location of Delta Station and the Communications Tower. The biome is surrounded by the Thermal Spires, Purple Vents and Tree Spires. Koppa Mining Site is located underneath the island, with entrances found near its coast.
