Sometimes when discovering a new, unknown thing, you are overcome with new, unknown feelings. At least, when you happen to be a demon girl finding a black heart that has some kind of strange smoke emanating from it becoming a skull...

A nice, calm, soothing blue on blue background... With a frog trying to eat a demon head in front of it...

This was the very first color choice I had made for this image. I still love the blue against the black background, flowing in weird ways around the demon and the frog.

Lots of staring into the eyes of a smoke skull... lots of red... lots of hair... lots of love.

Staring into the eyes of a skull that has formed from the creepy smoke coming out of a black heart lying on the ground would probably scare a lot of people, not just demon girls.

I just really liked the way the colors worked together in the image, in a way that a demon skull and a frog can really pop.

I wonder if the smoke skull she's staring at is thinking, "Oh man, she's looking right at me... Come up with something cool to say. This is my chance, gotta say something good...Ok, got it." Then he looks right back at her and breaks the ice with, "...You have such pretty eyes... I mean, swirls?... Or... I mean, spirals? Yeah, spirals." He then winked at her and thought to himself, "...Nailed it!"

My favorite color variation of a design for a demon girl being startled by a skull... A skull that rose from the remains of a black heart... A black heart that has eerie blue smoke all around it.... Blue smoke that becomes the skull she's looking at... Also, I think she's a frog, demon girl.

One of my favorite drawings I've created is a weird demon head trying to eat a frog. I called it Frog Food, sounded appropriate. Well, I was thinking of an interesting design to come up with and remembered Frog Food. I thought to myself, "That poor frog... Getting chomped on by a demon... That's not fair for the frog... Not at all." So I had to make this design to go along with that one. Now the frog is in control of the situation, eating a demon head as if it were a giant, ugly fly... But now... I kinda feel bad for the demon head... It's a vicious cycle.

A red frog trying to escape the mouth of a hungry demon skull. Watch what you eat?... Don't bite off more than you can chew?... Fun? That's the best word to explain it. Fun. :) ...Well, I guess 'weird' works too.
