Fremont Stickers

The Park was a 406-room hotel and casino located on 200 North Main Street near Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. The hotel originally opened in 1978 as the Holiday International and became the Park in 1987 after three years of the hotel being closed due to a hotel strike. The hotel was owned by Japanese investor Katsuki Manabe. It later closed in 1990 after being bought by Bob Snow to become Main Street Station.

The Jockey Club is a condominium and timeshare resort at 3700 Las Vegas Boulevard South that opened in 1974. Forney Smith and his business associates had this nifty idea in 1972 that what the Strip needed were apartment buildings to house all those thousands of casino employees. He discovered pretty fast that with a few precious exceptions the idea fails because, to hear Smith tell it, “Little did I know, you don’t live where you work.” It was planned to have a casino, and chips were made for its use, but the casino was never opened.

Just check into one of our 800 rooms or suites and you'll be ready to Take it to the MAX! The Maxim Hotel and Casino operated from 1977 to 2001. Today it is the Westin Las Vegas Hotel and Spa. The building has been remodeled today and there is no casino on the property. It was also somewhat infamous for being the site of the shooting of a particular famous rap star whom I am not allowed to name here.

the Las Vegas Gold Key, was located at 3053 Las Vegas Blvd. Opened in 1960. Closed in 1990. Demolished during the Desert Inn Road Super Arterial project It was located across from the Stardust, by the Desert Inn and the Flame Restaurant, on the site of what is now the Gold Key Shops. It had 100 rooms, was 3 stories tall with a glass elevator, heated pool, color TV in every room, coffee shop, drug store, steak house and cocktail lounge.

Barbary Coast was a hotel and casino located between the Flamingo and Bally's on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. The hotel was owned by Boyd Gaming and was built by Michael Gaughan in 1979. The hotel was closed to be renamed to Bill's Gambling Hall and Saloon. The Barbary Coast was home of Drai's After Hours, a restaurant nightclub that is still open to this day.

Retro Vintage Klondike Casino and Motel Las Vegas. Klondike Hotel and Casino was a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, in the United States. The property began as the Kona Kai Motel in 1962, and was purchased by Ralph Engelstad in 1969. The motel was sold to John Woodrum, who renamed it as the Klondike Inn in 1976

Bird Cage was a casino located on 100 Fremont St in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada where Binion's Gambling Hall and Casino is located today. It opened back in 1958, lasting only almost one year until it closed in 1959 when the Mint, only a few years old, expanded into the property.

The settlement of Las Vegas, Nevada was founded in 1905 after the opening of a railroad that linked Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. Urbanization took off in 1931 when work started on the Boulder Dam (now the Hoover Dam), bringing a huge influx of young male workers, for whom theaters and casinos were built, largely by the Mafia. Electricity from the dam also enabled the building of many new hotels along the Strip. The arrival of Howard Hughes in 1966 did much to offset mob influence and helped turn Las Vegas into more of a family tourist center, now classified as a Mega resort. defunct casino

El Rancho Vegas was a hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, built in what would later become Winchester, Nevada. The El Rancho Vegas was the first full service resort to be built on the Las Vegas Strip, at the southwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. In 1941, The Las vegas Strip was then known as Highway 91, and Sahara Avenue was then called San Francisco Avenue. The El Rancho Vegas was conceived by Thomas Hull, who owned several hotels in California and wanted to expand his operations to Las Vegas. Hull decided to build his new resort along US Highway 91, on desert land located just outside of city limits. On June 17, 1960, a fire destroyed the El Rancho's main building

The Landmark was a hotel and casino located in Winchester, Nevada, east of the Las Vegas Strip and across from the Las Vegas Convention Center. The resort included a 31-floor tower, inspired by the design of the Space Needle tower in Seattle. Frank Caroll, the project's original owner, purchased the property in 1961. Billionaire Howard Hughes, through Hughes Tool Company, purchased the Landmark in 1969

The Westward Ho opened in 1963. By 1997, it included 777 rooms, a 35,000 sq ft (3,300 m2) casino, and a 900-seat showroom. The Westward Ho closed on November 17, 2005, and was demolished several months later to make way for redevelopment plans which failed to materialize. A McDonald's opened on a portion of the former Westward Ho property in 2008.

Vintage Toledo, OH

"Casino Center" was a downtown branding effort that came and went in the 60s. 2nd Street was renamed "Casino Center Blvd" in the middle of this campaign. It was the first but not the last time downtown competed with the Strip for visitors. They also built a billboard sign along I-15 approaching Las Vegas, 1967 that read Downtown Casino Center → 10 Minutes. The name change has stood the test of time, as for that "Downtown Casino Center" sign, it was built by the same team who made the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. They first placed it near the site of the present-day Cosmo, then later moved it out to the highway. Unfortunately its now long gone.

The hotel first opened on July 1, 1976 as The Casino, and later Bingo Palace in 1977. It officially became Palace Station in 1984. Despite recent renovations starting in 2016 completely de-theming the casino, parts of it's original railroad and palace theme still remains.
