However, the zebra, later named Yipes, outlasted the other characters to become Fruit Stripe's sole mascot. The advertising slogan, "Yipes! Stripes!" has often been used with this character, as he freaks out about the striped gum. Wrappers contained temporary tattoos of Yipes engaging in a variety of athletic endeavors.
