The Amur Leopard is one of the rarest cats in the world and is listed critically endangered on the IUCN Red List. Its not very often that you can make 'art' from something that's dead and get away with it... but ever since a 'little boy' who would often collect flotsam and jetsam off the beaches ~ creating collections in the sand ~ I have been fascinated with the Ocean and all its wonders... To this day ~ I wonder 'why' we don't seem to have 'enough respect' and 'love' for the Oceans... as I approach middle age ~ nothing seems to have changed ~ in fact things have gotten worse... I sit here in my studio, a 'grown up' ~ listening to blues music ~ and ruminate over the loss of such a 'critical species' ~ the sharks. This Axolotl – We All Share This Planet is part of our design series which is meant to raise awareness about critically endangered species, biodiversity, habitat loss, pollution of waters, and individual animals. Axolotls are a type of salamander and they are critically endangered in the wild.
