Just a short stroll and high above the Lake District town of Ambleside sits a number of picturesque waterfalls and cascades close to Stockghyll Force, here looking more like the Amazon Rainforest than Cumbria

Tucked away in the Borrowdale Valley lies an old picturesque watermill. It was at one point considered a bit of a Lake District secret; hidden away from the nearby crowds in Keswick. At the time I took the photo, the river was a raging torrent, which meant I could not get as close as originally hoped!

Wastwater is one of the most Westerly and deepest lakes in the Lake district. In Autumn Wastwater is a breath-taking symphony of nature's colours. The view is looking towards the Northern end of the Lake with the fells and mountains of Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Scafell Pike in view. Taken 18th October 2019 Nikon D600 & Nikon 24-85mm

A beautiful calm day at Derwentwater afforded the opportunity to pick up some lovely reflections of the Skiddaw mountain range reflected the the still waters.

A frosty view of Great Langdale, taken at the start of the walk upto Crinkle Crags. The morning frost and ice still clinging to the grass as the winter sun struggles to get up above the high fells.

Tarns Hows, located between Coniston and Hawkshead. The tarn provides a wonderful walking and picnic spot and for those with more energy, a walk out into the fells and Arnside Intake. Canon 5d Mk3 16-35 L

Tarn Hows is a picturesque tarn located in the Lake District of England, close to Hawkshead and Coniston. The tarn itself is fed by run off from a series of valley and basin mires at its north end, drawing out via Tom Gill and a number of small waterfalls to Glen Mary Bridge. Canon 5d Mk3 16-35 L

Buttermere in the Lake District National Park, Cumbria

Angle Tarn is a small mountain lake in Cumbria, situated in The Lake District, on the Angletarn Pikes walk, near to Ullswater and about a mile north east of Hartsop.

Standing on the Arnside Intake, above Coniston in the Lake District, looking out across the valley to the impressive Langdale Pikes. The last of the winter snow is seen clinging onto the tops of the pikes. Canon 5D Mk3 16-35 L lens

Stockley Bridge is an old packhorse bridge over Grains Gill in The Borrowdale Valley of The Lake District. Built is the 18th Century, originally of slate, it was a favourite subject for artists to sketch. It was washed away in 1966 and re-built with a larger span.
