This painting is a lovely painting with all sorts of blue colors. The beautiful colors blend and marbleize together to form multiple shades of blue. The painting evokes a sense of moving and flowing water like tides going on and out, but maybe there a sense of clouds and sky as well. What does the painting remind you of?

The elegant Tide Mill at Woodbridge, Suffolk on the River Deben. This is the 'newest' of the mills that have stood on this site having been built in the 1600s. The earliest recorded mill here was in 1170. During th middle ages it was run by the local Augustinian priory but at the time of the Dissol;ution it pasdsed into the hands of Henry VIII. This is a monoprint in a series of monoprints I have done with a theme of water and things relating to water. This print is meant to depict churning water and the red is for the red algal tides that sometimes bloom along coastlines killing fish by depleting the water of oxygen and creating toxins. The white bubbles are the still oxygenated and healthy water and the black bubbles are meant to depict the water without oxygen due to the algae. I have included it on Red Bubble as the red and black colours are always popular and I thought people might like the colour and design especially as a tote or cushion cover.

High Tide at the lagoon the breakwater creating the lagoon was suppose to stabilise the river banks and deepen the river entrance didnt work but it creates great photo opportunities for photographers

Sunrise 24/09/2016 At St Marys Lighthouse whitley bay .The tide was quickly trickling in but as calm as ever so you had to be on your guard . at times my tripod was 3 or 4 inches under water from a matter of seconds .

Dark sea pouring art

I've moved away from the idea of mesmerising captures and producing something of interest and appeal to the masses... and rather than focussing on making a picture of intrigue and attraction... moved more towards, capturing light and colour and representation - for some subjects... but not all. This is a shot of extreme or low water at first light underneath the Menai Suspension bridge, within the Menai Straits. Part of my training at Bangor University reminded us as students, the precarious nature of the tides and currents, in particular, that of the Menai Straits, where some of the fastest tidal currents around the whole of the United Kingdom occur...
