This is a reproduction of Akhenaton that I painted using acrylic on slate. Akhenaten was a pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty of Egypt who ruled for 17 years and died around in 1336 BC. Modern interest in Akhenaten and his queen, Nefertiti, comes partly from his connection with Tutankhamun, partly from the unique style and high quality of the pictorial arts he patronized, and partly from ongoing interest in the religion he attempted to establish. I love history.

This is probably the most powerful painting I've ever done. I am proud of it and hope that you get as much joy from it as I did while painting it. Eagle Eyes is the first of my large format art, so it really dominates a room. Those eyes!

Majestic, imposing and fearsome. These eagles cruise over our house in the mountains. They are on the look-out for lambs, rabbits, chickens and our beloved Bichon Frise/Poodle.

Kingfishers are one of the most popular birds I paint and I can see why - particularly with this one. The colours are extraordinary. I love it.

Yes, I do love ballet. This picture is taken from an original piece of artwork I did on re-cycled timber.

These 2 magpies visit us every day and sing us a song. They are great mimics, so sometimes we’re treated to the sound of horses neighing and maybe it’ll be children playing ( there’s a pony club across the road and a primary school in the village). No wonder they were voted number one.

Magpies have been voted Australia´s favourite bird. I can see why. We have a pair that visit every day to sing us a song, so I had to paint one of them. This image is an extract from one of my original paintings.

Yvonne had adjusted well to life as a human, even though it hadn’t been so easy. Still, she was occasionally tripped up by the thought that others might notice there was something off about her. They couldn’t, but nonetheless, certain glances made her uneasy.
