Description: Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s The Atlantic Years was released in July 1992, just as the legendary progressive-rock trio was mounting a major comeback. The two-CD, roughly two-and-a-half-hour retrospective collected highlights from ELP’s classic catalog, including “Lucky Man,” “Tarkus,” “Karn Evil 9,” “Fanfare for the Common Man,” and selections from "Pictures at an Exhibition." Its arrival coincided with the band’s reunion and the release of their first studio album in 14 years, Black Moon, making The Atlantic Years a timely introduction to ELP’s classic material for a new generation. With Keith, Greg, and Carl back together, ELP returned to the road for an extensive world tour running from July 1992 into April 1993.
