Many of the trails I frequent follow along rivers and streams. I was able to capture a Great Blue Heron in a standing wetland area. This is a typical habitat stance of a Great Blue Heron wading in the water hunting for food. I once had had a Great Blue Heron come to my backyard to take fish from my fish pond. Easy hunting! They are surprisingly much taller when you see them up close standing on land! This will be a great addition as a note book available in the stationery prints. A country scene combining a hay baler and bales. This caught my eye to create this image in the area of Creemore in Central Ontario. The baler is used to compress cut and windrow crops such as hay, or silage into compact bales that are easy to handle and transport from the field. The stored bales are used as feed throughout the year for livestock. This is actually a vintage baler that makes smaller round bales than the much larger ones in the background. I grew up on a farm and used such a baler. It was a noisy machine that shook rattled and rolled with lots of belts and pulleys. Tree Swallows are a familiar sight in summer fields and wetlands across northern North America. Tree Swallows are frequently seen flying high above fields in pursuit of flying insects. Tree Swallows are vocal; listen for their sweet, chirping calls as they wheel around overhead in pursuit of insects. There’s a good chance you can attract Tree Swallows to your yard by putting up a nest box. Make sure you put it up well before breeding season.

I had an opportunity to visit the Alton Mill Arts Center located in an historic mill. The Historic Alton Mill Art Centre, located in the village of Alton, Ontario is home to 20 studio artists galleries, heritage museum, café and unique shops. This stone mill complex was constructed by William Algie as ‘The Beaver Knitting Mill,’ (circa 1891). It was known nationwide for its fleece-lined long underwear. The Western Rubber Co. retooled the facility in 1935 to manufacture latex goods including party balloons and rubber gloves. Operations ceased in 1982 and the building sat neglected for a number of years. Restoration was undertaken in 1997 and completed in 2009 as The Alton Mill Art Centre. Today the heritage building is home to arti...

The Speed Graphic was a press camera produced by Graflex in Rochester, New York. As a press camera, in the 1950s and 1960s, the iconic photo-journalists of the Washington Post and the former Washington Evening Star shot on Speed Graphics exclusively. The 1942-1953 Pulitzer Prizes for photography were taken with Speed Graphic cameras. Perhaps the most famous Speed Graphic user was New York City press photographer Arthur "Weegee" Fellig, who covered the city in the 1930s and 1940s "Speed" came from the maximum speed of 1/1000 sec. that could be achieve...

Kepler outside the Griffith Observatory in Los Angles. Griffith Park is an amazing place to visit, If ever have a chance to visit Los Angeles you have to check it out. Johannes Kepler was a German astronomer, mathematician, astrologer, natural philosopher and writer on music. He is a key figure in the 17th-century Scientific Revolution, best known for his laws of planetary motion, and his books Astronomia nova, Harmonice Mundi, and Epitome Astronomiae Copernicanae. If you are a fan of astronomy, add Kepler to your wall art.

I pulled over for this late one evening. The two trees caught my eye. I had to wait for a while until the clouds opened up for the sun to highlight the landscape. Two trees stand in a wheat field to complete this country scene. Get outside! Nature always provides inspiration and inspiration. Nikola Tessa at Niagara Falls Ontario Canada. Nikola Tesla was instrumental in designs of the earliest hydroelectric power plants at Niagara Falls Here he is atop a generator. Tesla's patents laid the framework for hydroelectric power generation on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Nikola Tesla was an inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current electricity supply system. If you are a fan of early inventors add Tesla to your wall art.

A lifeguard station on Lake Ontario awaits the return of summer visitors to the beach area. Built in 1920, the Leuty Lifeguard is a historical landmark in Toronto.
