Black KIWI with Koru A Bold black Kiwi. The national bird of New Zealand / Aotearoa. New Zealanders are often referred to as Kiwi's, an name we use with pride. The image is drawn with koru designs, The koru (Māori for "loop") is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace.

This design was inspired by the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) roundel with the Maori name for New Zealand, Aotearoa. The kiwi is always a great representation of the beautiful country of Aotearoa.
