Description: My great-uncle wrote the summer classic, ‘On the Way to Cape May.’ If you are from Jersey or the Philadelphia area, you are probably familiar with the song. This is my little doodle of that ditty, inspired by my dad’s account of his family trips to the shore. I took some liberties with the make/model of the Country Squire, but the rest is based on facts from my dad’s stories.

The Cape May lighthouse was built with two walls. The outside wall is conical in shape and the inner wall is cylindrical. They are strong enough to withstand winds several times hurricane force.
