Cheese Making T-Shirts
Description: The Body of Christ, now with cheese dip! This design portrays communion wafers as if they were a snack food. It uses the format of an advertisement to poke fun at Christianity, Catholicism, and organized religion in general. It sure looks tasty when Jesus dips his wafer in some of that spicy, cheesy queso!
Description: Tilsit cheese or Tilsiter cheese is a pale yellow semihard smear-ripened cheese, created in the mid-19th century by Prussian-Swiss settlers, the Westphal family, from the Emmental Valley. The original buildings from the cheese plant still exist in Sovetsk, Russia, formerly Tilsit, on the Neman River (also known as the Memel), in the former German province of East Prussia. Tilsiter has a medium-firm texture with irregular holes or cracks. Commercially produced Tilsiter is made from pasteurized cow's milk, ranges from 30 to 60% milkfat, and has a dark yellow rind. After the main part of its production, the cheese needs to rest for an additional 2 months.
Description: Gruyère is a hard yellow Swiss cheese that originated in the cantons of Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Jura, and Berne in Switzerland. It is named after the town of Gruyères. In 2001, Gruyère gained the appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC, now AOP). Gruyère is classified as a Swiss-type or Alpine cheese, and is sweet but slightly salty, with a flavor that varies widely with age. It is often described as creamy and nutty when young, becoming more assertive, earthy, and complex as it matures. When fully aged (five months to a year), it tends to have small cracks that impart a slightly grainy texture. Gruyère cheese is generally known as one of the finest cheeses for baking, having a distinctive but not overpowering taste.
