Description: Based loosely on David Morrell's 1972 novel of the same name, First Blood was the first of the Rambo films, and the sequels which were war adventure films set abroad, First Blood was a post-Vietnam psychological thriller set in America. From excessive violence and over the top explosions to unlimited ammunition and high body counts, most everything that Rambo is known for nowadays is completely absent in the original film.
