Gertie T-Shirts
Description: In 1914, cartoonist Windor McKay caused a sensation with his vaudeville act, wherein he would "command" Gertie, an animated brontosaur-like creature, to perform tricks, vanishing from the room and appearing in the film itself at the conclusion. Gertie was hugely influential on an entire generation of animators and today is enshrined at Disney's Hollywood Studios in the form of an ice cream shop.
Description: Celebrate animation history with this charming 2D illustration of Gertie the Dinosaur! Perfect for fans of vintage cartoons, classic cinema history, and cute prehistoric creatures, this nostalgic design brings a friendly prehistoric touch to your favorite apparel, stickers, and accessories.
Description: My personal spin on local humor. 'Keep Tacoma Feared' with dreary grey skies(It's never sunny here), Galloping Gertie (the old Tacoma Narrows Bridge, so poorly designed that it collapsed into the Sound), King Octopus (local sea monster), and Mount Rainier (an active volcano predicted to erupt within the next few decades and annihilate Tacoma. lol.) Stay way, Seattle folks. There is only despair here.
Description: 60's cartoon series. Freckled, grinning, all-American racecar driver Tom Slick competes in various races with his trusty vehicle, the Thunderbolt Grease-Slapper. He is accompanied by his girlfriend Marigold and his elderly mechanic Gertie Growler
