Island On The River Nile T-Shirts

One of the islands along the River Nile between Aswan and Luxor. The luish green grass on these islands supports cattle which are farmed here. They reach the islands by boat or by swimming. The area immediately on and around the Nile is rich farmland but just a short distance away is inhospitable desert. The Nile has been the lifeblood of Egypt for thousands of years enabling the abcient civilisation to flourish. This image has been given a pastel finish - developed from my original photograph.

Cairo, Egypt’s capital, is set on the Nile River. The largest city in the Middle East and the third largest city in Africa. Stunningly beautiful and mysterious city.
