Kynance Cove is a cove in southwest Cornwall, United Kingdom.

There are not many beaches to rival the stunning beaches of the Scottish Hebrides, but in Southern England, Cornwall's Kynance Cove is most definitely one. You have to see it at low tide, when for an hour or two there are rocks and beaches and caves and all manner of interesting corners to explore. Come outside that time and you'll wonder what the fuss is about, for all that is left is a narrow strip of sand in front of the beach cafe. But then there is always a walk around the beautiful Lizard peninsula to be had. This view comes from low tide on a morning when I laid the first footsteps on virgin sand many years back now. Painted in oil on a 12x12 inch board.

Kynance Cove, Cornwall, UK Taken on a walk from Land's End to Kynance Cove in Cornwall. This is well worth the trek as there is a fantastic Cafe at the Cove that does the best bacon butties. Kynance Cove is a cove on the eastern side of Mount's Bay, Cornwall, England. It is situated on the Lizard peninsula approximately two miles north of Lizard Point. A seal on the beach of Kynance Cove, Cornwall, UK The sad look on this animal's face tells the whole story of the endangered seal population around European coasts. This seal puppy had very obviously an injured fin, it had great difficulties rolling back into the sea and even though it managed at last, we couldn't be sure that it would cope with the dangers in the water. There is a seal sanctuary in Cornwall which deals with cases like this, but we were not in time to call specialized staff, Kynance Cove being too remote. (Nikon Coolpix P510)
