Description: A tribute to the origins of human creativity. This vintage-style woodcut illustration depicts the famous Lascaux bulls, discovered in France in 1940. A perfect design for archaeology students, art history teachers, and lovers of the Paleolithic era.
Description: This block print design is based on the famous paleolithic cave art from the Lascaux Caves. The animal depicted here is an aurochs, a type of now extinct wild cattle. To create this I first hand-carved, then printed, my own block carving of this design then scanned the print. The textures you see actually come from the fabric which I printed on-- so cool!
