Mai 1968 T-Shirts
Description: The May 1968 events in France refers to the volatile, two-month period of civil unrest throughout France punctuated by demonstrations, major general strikes, and occupations of universities and factories. At its height, the events brought the economy of France almost to a halt. The protests reached such a point that political leaders feared civil war or revolution; the national government itself briefly ceased to function after President Charles de Gaulle secretly fled France for a few hours. The protests spurred an artistic movement, with songs, imaginative graffiti, posters, and slogans.
Description: LA CHIENLIT, C'EST LUI. A sharp political slogan from the atmosphere of France's May 1968 uprising, turning a phrase associated with disorder into a pointed accusation against political authority. Inspired by the bold, confrontational visual language of French protest posters, this design captures the spirit of dissent, satire, and revolutionary resistance.
Description: The slogan "Be realistic, demand the impossible" was graffitied onto the walls of Paris in May 1968 during the students and workers uprising. The quote has also been attributed to Che Guevara the Argentinian revolutionary. It is a slogan of hope to break the mold of old ways of thinking, creating new vision of the future
