Description: Fully tattooed Visayan warriors from the Boxer Codex, circa 1590. One of the few illustrations of Visayan tattooing,it is likely fairly accurate due to similiraties to documented symbols in other mediums throughout the Philippines. Early manu-scripts also describe the long,inch wide stripes called 'Labid' that ran up the legs from the ankles to the waist.
