With 92 scheduled tour dates, the band kicked things off on July 30, 1977 in Toledo, Ohio, traversed North America, headed over to Europe, and finished their road show on December 6,1977 in Paris, France.
Description: Founded in 1970, Showco was a provider of touring sound reinforcement equipment and services to the concert touring industry. Based in Dallas, Texas, Showco is known for pioneering the post Woodstock-era arena rock shows by developing their own state-of-the-art sound equipment and making it available for almost all the big name bands. Showco introduced such features as mixing gear and stage monitors to aid musicians, so performers could count on reliable and consistent sound reproduction, regardless of venue. The equipment was also built to handle rugged touring schedules, outdoor weather conditions and quick assembly and disassembly, all things previously unheard of in the industry.
